Exploform, partner for sheetmetal products in special shapes

The TNO Prins Maurits Laboratory started a research program for re-introducing the technology of explosive forming. The outcome was the conclusion: explosive forming is a valuable addition to the existing metalforming technologies. Therefore a spin-off company, Exploform BV, was created in 1998. After an introduction period an especially dedicated facility was designed and built in 2003.

Explosive forming is particularly well suited for prototypes and small production runs. Large columes can be accommodated economically for specific products.

Currently, several prototypes are produced for the (Aero)space market. This is the main target market of Exploform. Other markets are Art, Architecture and Energy (gas turbines & nuclear).
